The cabinet wants to allocate an additional 5.1 billion euros up to and including 2040 for the Mobility Fund, which pays for a lot of infrastructure. That money should come in addition to the billions that have already been agreed in the coalition agreement, reports the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
On Budget Day, the cabinet announced billions in additional funding for Dutch infrastructure. An extra 5.1 billion euros will be made available by 2040, including for major maintenance and improved regional accessibility. Nevertheless, tough choices remain necessary regarding which projects are given priority.
