CUNEO – Hundreds of dead fish, including trout, minnows, and even freshwater crayfish, lay lifeless on the bed of the Maira River, between the city's two bridges. But the summer drought wasn't the cause of the disaster, but rather human intervention that completely dried up that stretch of river. An investigation, entrusted to the Carabinieri Forestry Corps, has already begun to determine who is responsible.
