Major Train Delays to and From Heathrow Airport After Water Pipe Bursts
Passengers at Heathrow Airport face bus-only travel after flooding shut rail and Tube links, with major disruption expected until at least 11am, officials said.
On Saturday, Heathrow Airport rail services, including the Elizabeth Line and The Heathrow Express, are suspended after a burst water main flooded signalling systems at Heathrow Terminals.
TfL confirmed the burst pipe halted all train traffic in and out of the airport, creating significant travel disruption for passengers today.
Compounding the issue, The Piccadilly line is also closed between Heathrow and Acton Town due to planned engineering works, leaving passengers with limited transport options.
Another frustrated traveller said: "No Elizabeth line to terminal 5 due to flooding??? Waiting for a bus that doesn't seem to arrive. People will miss their flights!" highlighting passenger impact.
With no rail or Tube services currently operating, passengers are directed to use alternative buses to reach the Central Terminal Area and continue onward connections.
