Burnham-On-Sea MP calls out Somerset Council for 'slow response' to seafront travellers

Burnham-On-Sea’s MP, Ashley Fox, has issued a strongly worded statement expressing concern over Somerset Council’s handling of an unauthorised traveller encampment in the town. The travellers arrived on the seafront lawns on 13th July, and according to Mr Fox, the Council’s work to initiate legal proceedings has been “slow.” 15 vehicles remain in place on the lawns on the South Esplanade near the Sailing Club, as reported here.
