In Burdur, 52 students residing in the Safahat KYK girls' dormitory sought medical attention after experiencing nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The Burdur Governorship announced that 30 of those hospitalized have been discharged, 9 have been admitted to wards as a precautionary measure, and 9 are still undergoing treatment and monitoring. The governorship also stated that a judicial and administrative investigation into the matter is ongoing.
A total of 87 students in Edirne, Burdur, and Kırklareli experienced food poisoning. It was reported that the high school students were affected by gas resulting from a mixture of cleaning supplies at the school in Edirne and chicken döner they had eaten.
