In the 9th weekend of conference play, the SEC title race came to an end, as Georgia secured the regular-season championship this past weekend. The Bulldogs entered the weekend with a 2.5-game lead over Texas A&M and Texas. Both the Aggies and Longhorns dropped series openers (they would each go on to lose 2 games in their respective series).
