BC Wildfire Service says 146 firefighters and 12 helicopters are battling the out-of-control blaze as strong winds and dry weather drive further growth.

- More than 220 customers remain without electricity after Hydro de-energized three power line sections Tuesday to protect crews; two distribution poles were damaged within the fire zone.
- High winds could still increase fire behaviour despite forecasts for lower temperatures across British Columbia, where these two fires are among 20 active blazes burning.
