The term of the PRR for housing ended on Monday. The government guarantees that it has exceeded the target and assigns to the program "Build Portugal" the above performance.
This number represents 5,700 more houses compared to the initial goal defined in 2021 by the 'More Housing' program of the former government of the Socialist Party, which set the goal of bringing 26,000 houses to the market.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing, led by Miguel Pinto Luz, says that "without the housing strategy adopted by the Government, defined in the 'Build Portugal' program, only about 16,500 homes would be completed to date."
Ministry of Infrastructure ensures that the PRR target is exceeded with 31,700 homes completed for needy families.
The government today announced the completion of 31,700 public houses under the funds of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) for housing, whose deadline ended on Monday.
For the achievement of the target, the funds of the 1st Law were reinforced by EUR 2,800 million, through the State budget, which were added to the funds of the PRR.
