According to LRT sources, the Council of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (LSDP), which will be held on the weekend, may decide to replace the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Questutis Boudris.
He made these remarks after LRT, citing its sources, reported that the Social Democratic Party's council might discuss Budrys's fate on Saturday, as the minister is allegedly working in a direction different from what the ruling coalition would like. The question of the coalition's future also remains up in the air.
Laurynas Kasčiūnas, chairman of the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) party, believes that Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys is counting his last days in this position. “I believe that K. Budrys is counting his last days in the position of minister. From what I hear, it seems that decisions will be made over the weekend.
