Several socialist amendments to the finance bill for 2026 propose to introduce compulsory borrowing at zero rates for about 20,000 of the most affluent taxpayers.
With this amendment to the finance bill, PS senators want to create a forced loan, like what Pierre Mauroy had done in 1983. His expected return is 6 billion euros.
