Late Queen’s off-duty style to be showcased at exhibition
- Buckingham Palace officials said Tuesday that Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life In Style, the largest-ever exhibition of the late monarch's fashion, will run from April 10, 2026 to Oct. 18, 2026.
 - The late queen's long reign explains the exhibition, as Queen Elizabeth II served for more than 70 years and died at 96, with the wardrobe regarded as a significant fashion archive.
 - The landmark exhibition will display some 200 items, about half never publicly shown, including private wardrobe pieces, design sketches and fabric samples, plus works by Erdem Moralioglu, Richard Quinn and Christopher Kane.
 - For designers and students, the exhibition offers a master-class in silhouette, construction, repetition, symbolism and restraint, featuring a tulle bridesmaid dress and couture by Norman Hartnell.
 - Among surprising items is a clear transparent raincoat by Hardy Amies, highlighting visual choices to keep the queen's daywear visible in any weather.
