NASCAR Teams 23XI and Front Row Seek Urgent Court Order to Retain Charters
UNITED STATES, JUL 13 – 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports seek court order to keep their six NASCAR charters amid risks of losing guaranteed race entries and millions in earnings, court ruling pending.
- Last week, the Fourth Circuit Court denied their push for en banc review, and their six charters are scheduled to be revoked Wednesday.
- Last year, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports filed a joint antitrust lawsuit after rejecting NASCAR’s final proposal last September.
- NASCAR accused 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports of filing 'a third motion for another unnecessary and inappropriate preliminary injunction,' and filed a counterclaim.
- Consequently, the teams may have to refund money paid out through the first 20 races, with charter sales looming, and financial refunds possible.
- The case will go to trial on Dec. 1, 2025, amid ongoing legal battles over the 16 remaining races and the teams' future in NASCAR.
