The European Union indicated on Tuesday that it is analysing "with interest a potential request for Armenia's accession, a country that wants to establish closer ties with the West and distance itself from Moscow," reports AFP, according to Agerpres.
Speaker of the executive led by Ursula von der Leyen recalled that the process of joining the Community bloc, for which it would need "a formal candidature", is "well defined and based on the principle", but pointed out that the arm nia j is very close to the EU.
