The Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office is launching an investigation into the purchase of drones and anti-drone weapons by the Ministry of Defence to determine whether legal regulations have been violated. This is reported by De Standaard and confirmed by the Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation follows the Pano report on drones. Minister of Defence Theo Francken (N-VA) has expressed satisfaction.

The Brussels public prosecutor's office will investigate whether crimes were committed in connection with the army's accelerated drone purchases. The prosecutor's office confirmed this following a report by De Standaard. In the meantime, Minister Theo Francken has also ordered an internal audit.
