Browns Give Play-Calling Duties to Tommy Rees in Hopes of Reviving Struggling Offense
- On Monday, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced he is relinquishing offensive play-calling to offensive coordinator Tommy Rees after the Week 9 bye, with Rees set to call plays Sunday at the New York Jets.
 - Facing one of the league's poorest offenses, the Browns entered the Week 9 bye with a 2-6 record, averaging 263.5 total yards and 15.8 points per game.
 - Stefanski said, `I have a ton of trust and faith in Tommy` after using the bye to evaluate the offense and support gameplanning.
 - Dillon Gabriel will remain the Browns' starting quarterback, and Tommy Rees' playcalling could affect Gabriel's weekly output after a 59.4% completion rate in four starts.
