Brown University Rejects White House Deal for Special Treatment
Faculty and students at Brown and other top universities oppose a Trump administration compact linking federal funding to compliance with political mandates, citing threats to academic freedom.
- Student leaders and faculty at Brown urged university administrators to reject the compact, pressing Paxson to refuse it as Brown professor Paja Faudree called it "extortion, plain and simple."
