Brooks cultivates bountiful volunteer crop - Lowndes Signal

Mosses resident Bessie Brooks is nearing 92 years old. She is the most senior member of the congregation at Bougahoma Missionary Baptist Church but still keeps everyone on their toes and donates flowers from her garden to beautify the church and homes around her community. Brooks said she does not get around as easily as she once did, but she still cultivates the blooms that volunteer in her garden and takes pride in their colorful display.
