NYPD: Police Probing Reports of Person ‘Parachuting’ Off Verrazzano Arrest Man in Brooklyn Park

Jonathan Warren, 40, parachuted off the city’s longest bridge moments after the marathon, prompting a reckless endangerment charge by NYPD officers.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police officers investigating reports about an “unlicensed aircraft” and an individual “parachuting” off of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge arrested a man in a park in his Brooklyn community on Sunday, the NYPD said.The arrest came after an individual was allegedly hang-gliding from the span, according to a report in the Daily News.
