Briscoe's Breakthrough Victory Sends Reddick to Second as NASCAR Shifts to EchoPark
Briscoe earned his first win of the season after holding off Christopher Bell in the closing laps, NASCAR officials said.
On Sunday, Chase Briscoe captured his first victory of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season at Chicagoland Speedway, winning the inaugural eero 400.
Toyota has dominated the 2026 Cup Series with 12 of 19 race victories; Briscoe becomes the third Joe Gibbs Racing driver to reach victory lane this season.
Briscoe fended off a late challenge from Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell in the 400-mile race, saying afterward, "I was glad it wasn't another lap."
The victory propelled Briscoe from 11th to eighth in the points standings, establishing a 131-point cushion over The Chase cut line with seven races remaining.
One week after chasing Gisbergen at Sonoma Raceway, Briscoe achieved redemption at Chicagoland, having previously felt he let a potential victory slip away.
