Brenna: It is with sadness that I see that we must discuss arming the police

The Labor Party decided at its national conference on Friday afternoon that the party will support Norwegian police carrying firearms at all times. The Liberal Party gives a thumbs up.

Labour Party deputy leader Tonje Brenna says that it has been an "extremely nice quality" that the police are not armed. But negative social developments mean that arming may now become necessary.
