The Istanbul Governorship decided to close the Taksim station of the M2 Yenikapı - Hacıosman Metro Line and the F1 Taksim - Kabataş Funicular Line until further notice. The decision was announced via a post on Metro Istanbul's official social media account. All activities such as meetings and demonstrations, press releases, leaflet distribution, and sit-in protests in Beyoğlu were banned for 1 day.
