The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has redefined the maturity limits for mobile phone loans and the minimum payment threshold for credit cards. Loans with a 12-month maturity will be available for mobile phones up to 40,000 TL and refurbished phones up to 50,000 TL. A minimum payment of 20% will be required for credit cards.
According to the new regulation by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), the loan term for mobile phones priced at 40,000 Turkish Lira and below has been extended to 12 months, while for phones above that price, it has been extended to 3 months. For credit cards with limits of 100,000 Turkish Lira and below, the minimum payment amount has been set at 20% of the outstanding balance.
