- Lagos Strategic Command seized 246,864.535kg between April 2025 and May 2026, while other units including Tincan, Apapa, and Marine Command recovered 83,001.05kg.
- NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Buba Marwa stated the destruction represents funds denied to drug barons, warning traffickers the agency would intensify efforts to dismantle their networks.
- Linking drug proceeds to violent non-state actors including bandits and terrorists, Nigeria Customs Service Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi stated destroying these substances limits resources available to criminal groups.
