- Two other players were also approached during the bribery scheme. Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed the LPL tournament proceeds Friday night in Colombo, stating it "reiterates its unwavering commitment to protecting the integrity of the tournament."
- In January, a Sri Lankan Court sentenced British owner Tamim Rahman to a four-year suspended jail term for match-fixing involving the Dambulla Thunders; Rahman was also fined ₹24 million.
- Authorities will produce Kalra before a magistrate soon to face formal charges. The Jaffna Kings co-owner's arrest marks the latest enforcement action under Sri Lanka's strict 2019 anti-corruption sports law.
