SWEENY — A Sweeny man has been arrested in connection with the July 31 shooting at Old Ocean Federal Credit Union that injured an employee, authorities said.

Brazoria County Man Arrested in Sweeny Business Shooting

On July 31, 2025, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported shooting at a local business on the 8000 block of FM 524 in Sweeny, Texas. A bank employee was shot while opening the business and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
