The Brazilian Supreme Court imposes sentences of up to 26 years in prison on defendants of the coup plot led by Bolsonaro, sentenced to 27 years.
To date, 24 persons involved in the conspiracy have been convicted in their various cores, of which eight persons belong to central nucleus one (composed of ex-mandator Jair Bolsonaro and seven former members of his Government).
Brazil's Supreme Court on Tuesday sentenced the last five defendants in the coup attempt plotted by former President Jair Bolsonaro to prison terms ranging from eight to 26 years. Bolsonaro is already serving a 27-year sentence for what the court described as a "serious attack against democracy."
So far, the Court has only ruled two cases of involvement in the attempted coup d'état
