A few months after COP30 in Belém, Brazil, eight environmental organizations delivered a letter to the Brazilian government asking for an international pact to guarantee at least $7 billion a year for the protection of the Amazon, according to Brazilian media O Globo. The proposal seeks to correct the global climate financing deficit, after the little advance of COP29 in Baku, where only 300 billion of the 1.3 trillion dollars needed were agreed.
