Braves recall LHP Ray Kerr, designate LHP Danny Young for assignment
The Atlanta Braves recalled left-handed reliever Ray Kerr before their game against the Diamondbacks on August 16, 2026.
Ray Kerr last pitched in the major leagues in 2024 before undergoing Tommy John surgery and missing the 2025 season.
Kerr returned to pitching in mid-July 2026, appearing in nine minor league games with a 3.09 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 11⅔ innings.
The Braves designated left-handed pitcher Danny Young for assignment after he had an 0-1 record and an 8.03 ERA in 16 appearances, including giving up three earned runs in a recent loss to the Diamondbacks.
The Atlanta Bravos called back left-handed Ray Kerr and designated Danny Young for assignment before their Sunday game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
