Oasis Wembley Stadium Live Updates Ahead of First London Show
GREATER MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, JUL 24 – Oasis released a live version of "Cigarettes & Alcohol" from their Manchester residency seen by 340,000 fans, ahead of seven sold-out Wembley Stadium shows starting July 25.
- Oasis performed a sell-out reunion concert at Wembley Stadium on Friday, July 25, marking their first London show in 16 years.
- The reunion tour followed Noel Gallagher quitting in 2009 after a backstage fight and was announced in August last year amid high anticipation.
- Support acts Cast and Richard Ashcroft opened at 6pm and 7pm respectively, with Oasis starting a two-hour set at 8:15pm playing a 23-song list including 'Wonderwall'.
- Approximately 90,000 fans attended while Liam Gallagher joked, "Don't worry & we don't have that Coldplay camera here," referencing a recent incident.
- The Wembley show continued the tour after sold-out Manchester dates with 340,000 fans and precedes further UK and international concerts including Edinburgh and Dublin.
