The decisive, four-run fifth inning got kick-started when Dakota Droptiny swung away with two strikes after two failed bunt attempts, ripping a go-ahead double to the left-center gap, and the rest was history, as the Marine City Mariners poured it on to beat Olivet, 8-5, advancing to their first-ever state title game.
