“I kept calling his name, hoping he could hear me. ‘Hold on, little guy!’” These are the words of Dorian’s (13) father, the boy who was buried under the sand of a pit he had dug himself on the beach in De Haan on Tuesday afternoon. “It was a big, strong man, the owner of a beach bar nearby, who eventually managed to pull him up.” Dorian had to be resuscitated, but is doing well now: “I remember trying to shout, but I couldn't,” he says.
