UK Promoter BOXXER Announce New TV Deal
- Boxing will return to free-to-air television in Britain through a new deal between the BBC and Boxxer, announced on August 8, 2025.
- Boxxer, led by CEO Ben Shalom, earlier completed a four-year contract with Sky Sports, which was not extended.
- The BBC aims to make boxing accessible to all audiences and will air selected events on its channels, iPlayer, and BBC Sport's website.
- Alex Kay-Jelski from BBC Sport stated that this deal allows for showcasing the next generation of British fighters to younger audiences.
