DORCHESTER, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, JUL 22 – Juan Blanco allegedly assaulted a 68-year-old friend to steal a Social Security debit card loaded with $1,000, facing multiple charges including home invasion and assault with serious injury.

A Boston man is facing charges in connection with beating up and stealing from his friend during a home invasion in April, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday. Roxbury resident Juan Blanco, 66, has been charged with home invasion, assault and battery on a person over 60 with serious injury, assault and battery on a person over 60 and larceny from a building, the district attorney’s office said in a press release.
