The Bank of Japan will raise the interest rate just once more this year, probably during the third quarter, to 0.75%, according to most economists in a Reuters survey released on Thursday (20). The survey also showed that the median of analysts' forecasts for the rate of wage increases in this year's negotiations is 5%, close to last year's 33-year high, an encouraging sign for the Japanese central bank to continue raising interest rates.
