Boeing finally accelerates towards the end of the tunnel with its 777X. The seventh copy of the 777-9 preseries made its first flight on 29 July from Boeing Field in Seattle, while the program reached a new symbolic milestone by exceeding 4,800 hours of flight testing.Now, the aircraft must enter the ETOPS test phase, one of the last locks before obtaining the final certification and one entry into service now targeted for 2027.
