Bodies of Two Anglers Recovered From Water in Co Clare

  • The search operation deployed the Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter R115 from Shannon, the Kilkee Coast Guard Unit, the Doolin Coast Guard Unit, and the Aran Island Lifeboat to coordinate efforts across the identified area.
  • At approximately 4pm, R115 located the two bodies within the search area; the Aran Island Lifeboat team then recovered them from the rough seas.
  • The Coast Guard extended its sincere sympathy to the families of the two anglers, while the Garda Siochana is liaising with relatives as formal identification continues.
