- At approximately 4pm, R115 located the two bodies within the search area; the Aran Island Lifeboat team then recovered them from the rough seas.
- The Coast Guard extended its sincere sympathy to the families of the two anglers, while the Garda Siochana is liaising with relatives as formal identification continues.
