Body of teenager found outside NH home
Authorities say there is no known threat to the public as investigators await an autopsy to determine how the out-of-state teen died.
On Friday, authorities discovered 15-year-old Kai Saxony dead outside a Salem, New Hampshire home. An autopsy confirmed Saxony died from a single gunshot wound to the chest, and the Attorney General's Office ruled the death a homicide.
New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella reported that officers responded to a 911 call early Friday at a residence on Orchard Terrace. Investigators arrived to find the Massachusetts teenager's body just outside the home.
Residents heard commotion early Friday, with neighbor Gumercindo Feliciano describing a woman screaming, "He's my son, my son, my son." Neighbor Dawn Brantmuller recalled Saxony was "a good kid," adding, "We've never had anything like this."
Prosecutors stated, "There is no known threat to the public at this time as all known parties have been identified." Authorities have not released specific details regarding potential suspects while evidence processing continues.
The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit and the Salem Police Department are jointly handling the investigation. Officials continue gathering evidence while maintaining the site as an active crime scene.
