A body was found Thursday in a pond in Dade County, Chad Payne with the Dade County Sheriff's Office says.

On Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Dade County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of New Home Road following a report of a possible mannequin floating in a pond. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of a deceased male subject in the water. The scene was immediately secured, and the DCSO Criminal Investigations Division was notified.
