PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) —  A man was struck by lightning Sunday afternoon while idling in a boat near Marsh Creek at Scott’s Hill Marina, according to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. A boater who was thrown from their watercraft on Gull Pond near St. Lunaire-Griquet was located deceased Tuesday by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team (URT).
