Enquiries are ongoing following a fatal crash on the A75 west of Dumfries on Friday, 16 January, 2026. A 54-year-old man died at the scene. He can be named as Phillip Thompson.   Sergeant Colin Ramage said: “Our thoughts remain with Phillip’s family and friends and our enquiries into the crash are continuing.
