- Available in Privacy and Security settings, the new tool is an account-level control, not a per-post filter. The company notes the change can take up to an hour to take effect.
- While the setting limits recommendations, it does not make posts entirely private. The preference travels with the user via the Protocol, though other apps using the same Proto must choose whether to respect it.
- Now, Bluesky describes this as "one of a few updates we're working on to give you more control over your experience and help you find your people." The company continues developing additional privacy-protecting features.
