Blue Jays unveil statue outside Rogers Centre honouring World Series championships
The sculpture marks the team’s 50th anniversary and features nearly 30 alumni, including Joe Carter, at the unveiling.
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the Toronto Blue Jays unveiled a new statue outside Rogers Centre commemorating the franchise's 1992 and 1993 World Series championships.
Created to celebrate the franchise's 50th anniversary, the statue replaces a previous monument to former owner Edward at the southeast corner, outside Gate 5.
The likeness captures right-fielder Joe Carter mid-jump rounding the bases after his historic walk-off home run during Game 6 of the 1993 World Series.
Nearly 30 alumni attended the debut, including former manager Cito Gaston, 1992 World Series MVP Pat Borders, and 1993 World Series MVP Paul Molitor.
The unveiling occurred ahead of MLB baseball action against the Chicago White Sox in Toronto, marking the team's reflection on championship history.
