More than half a million bottles of a popular blood pressure medication have been recalled because they contain a chemical that could cause cancer.

Samaritan pharmacies want the community to be aware of a recent recall of a drug that is primarily used to treat high blood pressure. Teva Pharmaceuticals USA voluntarily recalled prazosin hydrochloride capsules, also called N-nitroso Prazosin impurity C, because the pills may contain nitrosamine impurities linked to potential cancer risk. Fewer than 1% of Samaritan Pharmacy customers received prescriptions from the affected lots. Samaritan reco…
