For Ina Brandes, North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister of Culture and Science, brothers Daniel and Sebastian Schall are highly deserving recipients of the Aachen Engineering Award. “They combine courage and ingenuity, demonstrating something this state urgently needs: the ability to build a viable business model around an invention.” The brothers, she said, have transformed an idea into a company with international reach.
The founders of the semiconductor start-up, Daniel and Sebastian Schall, are honoured in the coronation hall. The jury has changed its statutes for this purpose and makes a bet on the future.
