- On Tuesday , the Bihar BJP released its first list of 71 candidates, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha.
- The BJP Central Election Committee met on October 12 under Jagat Prakash Nadda, finalising candidates after the NDA allocated 101 seats each to BJP and JD.
- Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav was omitted, with Ratnesh Kushwaha named for Patna Sahib, while former Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav and Health and Law Minister Mangal Pandey were surprise inclusions.
- Party sources say around 10 sitting MLAs were denied a second chance, including Motilal Prasad, Art and Culture Minister, while Nand Kishore Yadav, Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker, said, `I stand by the BJP’s decision. I have no complaints with the party.`
- The Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11 with counting on November 14, 2025, as the BJP-led NDA faces the INDIA bloc led by Tejashwi Yadav and new entrant Jan Suraaj led by Prashant Kishor.
