Small Quake Rumbles in the East Bay Friday

(KRON) — A preliminary 2.6-magnitude earthquake struck in the East Bay on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was 1.4 miles northwest of Walnut Creek. The small tremblor occurred at 11:16 a.m., USGS said. People reported feeling the shaking near Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and Lafayette, according to USGS’s “Did You Feel It?” survey. There were no initial reports of damage or injuries.
