Culling Operations Underway in Nepal Amid Major Bird Flu Outbreak | Science-Environment

In response to a bird flu outbreak, Nepal is culling over 2 lakh chickens in Sunsari and Morang districts. Officials are mobilizing human resources for this large-scale operation to contain the virus, with government relief covering up to 75% of farmer losses.

Bird flu: 227 thousand chickens being culled in two farms in Koshi

Preparations are underway to cull over 155 thousand chickens of the farm. It is the first time in the province that so many number of chickens are being culled due to bird flu. The farm is located at Ramdhuni municipality in Sunsari district.
