Poland Signs $4 Billion US Military Financing Agreement
The United States has agreed to a $4 billion loan to Poland for procuring American-made military equipment, as the eastern European NATO ally seeks to deepen its relationship with Washington. Funds from the Foreign Military Financing agreement signed with the US will be used, among other things, to purchase Apache helicopters and modernize F-16 aircraft, Deputy Defense Minister Paweł Bejda announced. He also pointed to other service needs that could be financed through this program. The status of negotiations regarding Poland servicing Patriot missiles is also known.
Funds from the Foreign Military Financing agreement signed with the US on Wednesday will be used for, among other things, the purchase of Apache helicopters and the modernization of F-16 aircraft, said Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Bejda.
