Poland to invest $665mn to boost its domestic ammunition output to 1mn rounds a year
Poland will invest PLN2.6bn ($665mn) to increase its domestic ammunition output, the government announced on July 2, as it seeks to strengthen national defence capabilities and support Ukraine's military needs.

"We are intensively expanding our production capacity, increasing the quantitative volume and dynamically acquiring competences and technologies to produce the necessary types of weapons," said Adam Leszkiewicz, president of the management board of PGZ, in a statement.
Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the allocation of PLN 2.4 billion for the construction of ammunition factories.

At the headquarters of the Ministry of State Assets, the head of the ministry Jakub Jaworowski, the president of the Polish Armaments Group Adam Leszkiewicz and the first vice-president of the management board of PGZ Arkadiusz Bąk signed four investment agreements regarding support for the production of large-caliber ammunition of 155 mm and 120 mm.
