- India will send Bihar Governor Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain and Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita to represent the government, while a Pakistani delegation led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also plans to attend.
- A central procession will move through the capital on Monday, July 6, before the body travels to Qom on July 7, then to the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala, before final interment in Mashhad on July 9.
